Show 42 - June 13, 2008
We pick up where Kari talks about the blessing bestowed upon her to foster twin baby girls, 3 weeks old. When she fostered, then adopted her twin boys, they were already toddlers. Feeling as though she missed out on the newborn stages, she was able to fulfill that desire with the baby girls.

Show 41 - May 30, 2008
Though Kari didn't even realize that she was going to be facing fertility challenges in her future, she had a calling within her heart to pursue foster parenting. Her husband felt the same, and so, at a very young age, they began their journey. It was a journey that they hadn't considered as an avenue to actual parenthood; however, according to Kari, that is what God had in mind for them.

Show #40 - May 16, 2008
Elizabeth Cessna, who is not only a counselor of infertility, but a hypnotherapist as well. You will find Elizabeth to be quite soothing and a wealth of information. She tells us of how being compassionate with yourself is one of the most important aspects of your personal care when in the prediciment of infertility.

Show #39 - May 2, 2008
This is our 39th show, and it is one that begins the month that we like to recognize as Mom's Month. One day isn't enough to recognize what all mom does throughout the year, so we dedicate the entire month of May to moms. Of course, we want to wish you all a Happy Mother's Day (celebrated May 11th), and a Happy BirthMom's Day (celebrated May 10th).

Show #38 - April 22, 2008
I am happy to share information requested by some of you through e-mail...from your concerns of preparing for a home study as you pursue the adoption path, to the fears of the intimidating needles associated with invitro for those seriously considering that avenue.

Show #37 - March 28, 2008
On this, our 37th show, we break the mold by having a male guest share HIS story. John Van Regenmorter did not have a clue as to what his wife had been going through until one day he read an article she had written.

Show #36 - March 14, 2008
Part 2, the conclusion, of the story of Jodi Panayotov.

Show #35 - February 29, 2008
On our 35th show here at Journeys To Motherhood, we celebrate not only a brilliant author and incredible mommy, but a newfound friend and 'sister' that comes to us all the way from Australia!!! Her name is Jodi Panayotov, and her book is entitled InVitro Fertility Goddess.

Show #34 - February 15, 2008
On this, our 34th installation of Journeys To Motherhood, we share with you the conclusion of Colleen Geyer's story. When chatting with her, I didn't realize it would result in a 3-part series. But there were so many facets to her story, plus her own personality that came shining through so vibrantly, that it took three shows to cover her!

Show #33 - February 1, 2008
The continuing story of Colleen Geyer. I feel like I'm truly giving you all a gift by giving you this amazing guest! And she's a gift to me as well! She has been through one failure after another, but she is effervescent in her story and in her faith. The fact that she actually feels in her heart that all of the failed attempts at motherhood were what she was MEANT to go through to get to the adoption dream of her life, is beyond amazing.

Show #32 - January 18, 2008
Colleen Geyer was tenacious in her quest for motherhood. She had faced numerous setbacks in the adoption arena, yet she never let it stop her forging onward. The promise and commitment she had made to herself, was that she would have a baby, whether it came from HER body or another's.

Show #31 - January 4, 2008
On today's show I talk about the shrink I saw during my dark times and how he had showed me that life is like a crinkled piece of paper. And though it sounds strange, he was right. (I explain that on the show.) And you MUST hear how Addison's story unfolded when her birthmom gave her a baby just in time for an unforgettable Christmas celebration!

Show #30 - December 15 2007
Plus, I have included one of the most recent 'success' stories, which has happened to one of the women on our poetic prayer chain! Her name is Addison, and her story is the quintessential Christmas story for reproductively challenged women.

Show #29 - November 30 2007
On this show we delve into Part 2 of Tracy Jo Devereaux's magnificent story.

Show #28 - November 16, 2007
On this, our 28th show of Journeys To Motherhood, we have with us a guest that I consider to be a Super Woman in every sense of the word. Tracy Jo Devereaux was kind enough to sit down and take her story, step by amazing step, and re-live even the most difficult moments.

Show #27 - November 2, 2007
Angel is an inspirational soul. After going through reproductive assistance, then losing twins in a domestic act of violence, THEN having a difficult time in conceiving again with her new husband...Angel refuses to take 'no' for an answer. As I've said before, she will NOT be denied motherhood. So she is taking steps down another path now...the path of adoption. She is the quintessential example of determination.

Show #26 - October 19, 2007
I am thrilled to have with us a woman that is in the midst of HER journey to her baby. Her name is Angel Baney, and she is a woman that I had spoken of in the past on my show and on my blog page...the woman that introduced me to the amazing Arvigo massage technique, which can greatly help with any female issues we may have...including fertility struggles.

Show #25 - October 5, 2007
On this, our 25th show (!) on Journeys To Motherhood, I am happy to bring you Part 2 of our chat with Monica. When you sit down with someone and need to talk about your infertility situation, the questions you have in mind, the concerns about alternative routes to take...it's very comforting to be able to talk to someone who has been on the same path as you...someone who understands because they've walked in similar shoes.

Show #24 - September 21, 2007
On this, our 24th show of Journeys To Motherhood, I am happy to bring to you the first of two shows with a special guest of whom I had the pleasure meeting at a recent adoption seminar. Her name is Monica, and she not only has a multi-faceted story to tell about HER journey to motherhood, but she is one of the many women I've recently met who's journey has transformed her life in the realm of her livelihood as well.

Show #23 - September 7, 2007
My guest is Jennifer, twice an adoptive mom (internationally). Jennifer tells us about her experience with Guatemala adoptions, AND she tells us about the unique and flourishing business she has created that allows her to have control of her time and creative outlets, while assisting other adoptive families with what her business provides.  ScrapandTell is a site you HAVE to visit, as I know you will want to share with YOUR children the stories of their lives in this creative and beautiful way.  But we are not ONLY talking about scrapbooking, we are also talking about something entitled Life Books.

Show #22 - August 24, 2007
You know that this show is one to encourage, uplift and hopefully inspire.  But there is a subject that we haven't touched deeply upon prior to this show, and it is weighing heavy on my heart.  This is not brought up to bring any of your down, nor to dwell on another dark side of infertility, but it IS something that effects many women.  And a recent encounter prompted me to talk about this today.

Show #21 - August 10, 2007
Enjoy an intimate visit with Barbara as she shares some valuable resources with you.

Show #20 - July 27, 2007
I delved into two of Shola's books, Natural Fertility Cures and Clear Fallopians. What an interesting array of information!...some of which I had known of, and some very new concepts in the natural arena that give cause to ponder daily habits that we would otherwise not think twice about.

Show #19 - July 13, 2007
It's my pleasure to share with you two stories from two people regarding their experiences with adoption. One, from a recent adoptive mom, and the other, from on older gentleman and his experience as an adoptive boy. There is happiness in story number one, and great joy. In story number 2, however, there are many lessons to be learned and much to ponder regarding what happens to an adoptee when they are deceived about their parenting arrangement.

Show #18 - June 29, 2007
As you probably know, I had been searching for a guest that would share her story with us of her experience with egg donorship.  Well, my husband I were recently at a 1st birthday party for a little boy named Aidan. Aidan's parents, Mike and Krista, are dear friends of ours, and we were so happy to attend this special celebration. I just happened to sit next to a woman at the party named Beth. She had a daughter named Elena, whom Hailey Rose really took a liking to.  So, in passing I mentioned to Beth that Hailey Rose is adopted. And Beth then shared with me HER amazing story about HER journey to her baby girl!  What a serendipitous meeting it was!  I could have sat next to anyone, but I was guided to sit with another soul who had a fertility struggle that led to the blessing of a lifetime.

Show #17 - June 15, 2007
Niravi Payne - Part Two

Show #16 - June 1, 2007
I am thrilled to have with me an internationally recognized pioneer in the reproductive health arena. Her name is Niravi Payne. She is a psychotherapist and biofeedback specialist, who is also a best-selling author. Her book, entitled The Whole Person Fertility Program: A Revolutionary Mind/Body Process to Help You Conceive, was one of the most important tools I had stumbled across when in the midst of my journey to motherhood.

Show #14 - May 4, 2007
This show is Part 2 of the interview we are airing with our guest, Deb Tack.  I KNOW you had to thoroughly enjoy Part 1, and if you missed it...go back to Show 13 on our Archives page to check it out.  We are picking up where we left off, as Deb begins to tell us about her life as a mom...an adoptive mom AND a biological mom.

Show #13 - April 20, 2007
Her name is Deb Tack, and she is involved with an agency that we had gone through for our home study and our post placement visits for our adoption, The Adoption Connection. Deb has a multi-faceted story that is one for a Lifetime Movie!

Show #12 - April 6, 3007
Your letters, stories and support of this show, mean more to me than I can say. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart, and please keep spreading the word! We can't have too many listeners! And we can't have too many stories!!

Show #11 - March 23, 3007
This show is about the importance of setting straight what we each feel comfortable with in regard to the agreements we set forth with our birthmoms of future contact...and then following through with those agreements.

Show #10 - March 9, 2007
Throughout my battles with my body while trying to conceive, there were some exceptional care providers that took tremendous care of me.  One in particular was my embryologist, who not only assisted me by the work she did, but by being a gentle soul that helped me to relax at a time that was horribly stressful.

Show #9 - February 23, 2007
I had recently gotten two lovely e-mails from women who had surrogacy touch each of their lives from different angles. Each story was so sweet, I had to include them in this show.

Show #8 - February 9, 2007
Today I have a lovely guest with a beautiful story of her choice to become a single mommy. Kim Yourchisin is a woman that goes after what she wants, when she wants it. Nothing stands in Kim's way with anything she pursues, so she wasn't going to let anything stop her from following her dream to have a baby.

Show #7 - January 26, 2007
Show number seven of The Reproductive Challenged Woman is one where I share a story e-mailed to me from Gretchen in New Mexico. Gretchen, though claiming to be shy, is a real force to be reckoned with. Once she conquered her mental demons, she faced the music of invitro to a tune of six times!! Yep!! Wow!!

Show #6 - January 12, 2007
My guest today is Fran Skindzier. I was referred to her by my very first guest on The Reproductive Challenged Woman, my good friend, Sue. Sue found Fran's healing touch therapy crucial in her efforts to relax while going through her three attempts of invitro. Fran also worked with Sue's husband, so that they could help each other as a couple, on their own, in their quest for calming relaxation.

Show #5 - December 26, 2006
On this, the 5th show of The Reproductive Challenged Woman, I reveal my slight obsession with affirmations and resolutions for the New Year. I also share with you some tidbits of information that all have to do with the beginning steps of three different forms of action (in pursuing motherhood).

My guest is Shannon Cherry, mother of twin girls.

Show #3 - December 1, 2006
I am so happy to have my incredible surrogate on this, our 3rd show, of The Reproductive Challenged Woman! Colleen Meyers is a woman that has 3 children of her own. Yet she found an unexpected calling to become a surrogate!

Show #2 - November 17, 2006
My guest is one of many women who successfully adopted from the same facilitating agency that I used, A Labor of Love Adoptions, who is also my founding premium sponsor.

Show #1 - November 3, 2006
My guest on this show is Sue, a dear friend that was instrumental in my becoming a mom. It is a perfect choice to have her as my very first guest, for it was her friendship that got me through some of my roughest moments with my fertility issues...
